Our story

Meet Buna

From the wooden chalet to the garden sculptures, the Rancho is unmistakably Buna’s.

With no architect, Buna designed and built the Rancho little by little — and it’s still the same rustic, welcoming place that greets you today.

Where the Rio Preguiças meets the sea

Atins, gateway to the Lençóis

In Atins, a village of fishermen and jangadas (traditional sailing rafts), life goes at an unhurried pace along streets of sand. The dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park begin just a few kilometres away, with lagoons that are full from May to September. Right beside the Rancho is the igarapé, a creek fed by water from the dunes in the rainy season.
